| A Better Tomorrow. |
[Feb. 23rd, 2012|03:58 pm] |
I've counted. On average I'm watching like 4-5 Running Man episodes per day. It's quite intense for me. Perhaps I don't have the stamina. I've been getting headaches recently due to I guess maybe lack of sleep.
But I'm very determined to catch up with my friends from camp.
And yes today is one day before I turn Operational Ready. Which means tomorrow's my Operational Ready Date in short ORD. Meaning to say I've finished my term as an NSF (full time national serviceman). Not bad. It's been almost 2 years. I could still remember clearly the day I enlisted. It was a really sad day I must say. And the first few months after enlistment weren't that good also cos those were the training phase. 2 months + 2 months + 3 months. It was 7 months of high regimentation and intense training. Not cool. Then when I got into my unit, things got slightly different. There were periods of highs and lows which was much better than the earlier days.
I think one of the very few things that make me feel good about NS is that I feel like I'm Korean. Mandatory military service ma. Wa.
I realised there has been several occasions when Running Man played this particular Cantonese song. When I heard it the first time I couldn't believe my ears I was like why would a Korean programme play a Cantonese song on it's background. And I find that how random it was made it very funny. Then later on a few episodes later, they played the song again. Then I couldn't stand not knowing what song it was, so I went to look for it. Here it is.
It's a not bad song really. I think the reason why they played these a few times is because the MC Yoo Jae Suk is a fan of either the movie or Leslie Cheung or both. Cos later on a few episodes later when Yoo Jae Suk was made to sing a foreign song, which turned out to be another song of Leslie Cheung's, he was able to sing it in its entirety without looking at the lyrics. And also he was saying how he used to be a fan of the movie and/or Leslie Cheung when he was young. Then after that segment, the background played this song (above) for the 3rd time in Running Man. Lololol.
I was quite surprised to know that the Koreans actually have slight knowledge of Hong Kong celebrities. I always felt that they're only influenced by their local pop culture and also America's pop culture.
Okay lastly I'm just gonna share a photo that may drive some of you crazy. It drove me crazy for awhile when I first saw it. For at least 5-10 minutes. What. It still drives me crazy when I open the file. This picture, is no joke.
Tiffany is no joke. So is the image consultant or whoever's in charge of the dress, make-up and most importantly the hair. Yoona was seated beside her and I couldn't believe how most people made comparisons and claimed that Yoona looked better. What nonsense. Anyway Jolin Tsai was beside Seohyun. Just sayin'. Goodbye world. |

| Eh... Share Chinese songs la. |

So I was with 2 of my fellow coy mates yesterday afternoon. We were at Plaza Singapura. We walked past all these gift shops and they were all selling Valentine's Day gifts. So I said, "I have never spent a single Valentine's Day attached." And before they could say anything, I exclaimed, "I WAS NEVER ATTACHED!" What. Lololololol.
I remember life started with, "eew I hate girls" and then it goes on to the state of yearning for relationship/companionship and now to the state of I don't give a shit any more. I'm just gonna let nature take its course and see what comes in my way. And this time round I'm pretty sure if I'm to meet someone real special, I definitely won't let her go away easily.
EH... Share Chinese songs la. If you know of any good slow Mandarin ballad sang by any male artists... share la!
Recently this song was covered on some Taiwanese Idol-like program. It sounded good on my first listen so I quickly took down the title and went to check out the original version. Know similar-sounding songs? Share la. What.
EH... know good Chinese songs? SHARE LA.
Okay goodbye world. These days I find it so much healthier to be listening to Mandarin/Cantonese songs than Thai. It's helps me like some kind of a physiotherapy. So... SHARE CHINESE SONGS LA. Okay, goodbye world. |
